Gyda joins us from Norway and has a broad sports background, mainly from European handball, but also from athletics, gymnastics, cross country- and alpine skiing. When quitting playing elite handball in her early twenties she loved going to the gym but missed the competition and community part from the team sport. Everything fell into place when she incidentally dropped into a CrossFit class in 2017 and she immediately fell in love with the sport. With a good strength base from her younger years and big courage to learn all the new skills, she managed to finish as the 35th fittest in Norway in the CrossFit Open 2020.
In 2019 she graduated as a Dr. of Naprapathy, which is a combination of a chiropractor and a physiotherapist. She has experience from everything in between back and neck pain among office workers to hip, knee, or shoulder pain among competitive athletes.
Gyda enjoys working with all types of people of all ages (also kids and elderly people) with whatever goals they have. She specializes in dealing with any kind of pain, those who want injury prevention, strength training for all levels (also Olympic weightlifting specifically), high-intensity training (HIIT), pre and postnatal training, mobility training, or CrossFit specific training.
Sessions with Gyda can be done all over Abu Dhabi, whether it’s in your home, outside in a park, or in any fitness facility. You can be sure that every action Gyda takes regarding your fitness journey will be carefully tailored based on your needs and goals, and she ensures that you will be healthier and happier than you’ve ever been after training with her.
