2nd Fittest Man (35-39 years) in the Region 2018
Army now proceeds to the online qualifier against the top 200 male athletes in this age category around the world. Well done Army!
Lets begin with the men. We all expect to see Elliot Simmonds in a qualifying position and yet again he has delivered. Elliot placed 8th in the Region and now proceeds to the Regionals in Madrid. His goal is bigger than Regionals and we all can’t wait to see him continue on his CrossFit Games journey. Our Co Head Coach leads by example and sets his personal standards very high. Good luck Simmo with your preparation.
Recently becoming a father we didn’t really know what to expect from our other Co Head Coach Antony Monks this year but just looking at the leaderboard puts his intentions right out there. Antony placed 6th and now proceeds to the Regionals in Madrid. Antony seeks no credit or praise, he simply works hard every single day and is living proof that hard work genuinely does pay off.
Alex ‘Bacon’ Evans has fought his way through 5 weeks of online competition to cement his place as one of the Fittest in Region. Along with Antony and Elliot he now proceeds to Madrid to compete for a place at the 2018 CrossFit Games. We are hoping a heavy barbell comes up in Madrid so you can all see just how powerful this man is! Well done Bacon.
Now for the ladies.
Carrie Freestone may be in the 35-39 years category but that hasn’t stopped her qualifying for Regionals in the Open category. An incredible achievement and one we are all very proud of.
Carrie is officially:
We are now officially on the road to Regionals!
