What is HIIT training?

HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training. HIIT is a style of training where the participant gives it 100% max effort in quick, intense bursts of exercise; followed by short (sometimes active rest periods. This type of training is believed to burn fat faster.

Benefits of HIIT:

Increases Your Metabolism

It is believed that HIIT training speeds up your metabolic rate, and leads to a metabolism boost for up to 48 hours after you have completed a HIIT session. This means you’ll be burning fat post workout after you’ve left the gym.

Quick and Covenant

HIIT Training can be completed anywhere, at home, in a hotel room, in a gym. Most HIIT sessions can be less than 30 minutes.

No equipment necessary

To do a HIIT session you don’t have to use equipment, a HIIT session can be easily accomplished by doing body weight exercises, such as; squats, press-ups, lunges etc.

At the best CrossFit gym in Abu Dhabi, we regularly implement HIIT training into our sessions. An example of a great HIIT session would be: 30 seconds brisk walk, 30 seconds sprint, repeat 7 more times (8 minutes total) or why not try one of our Metcon classes and get your cardiovascular fix!
