HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training. HIIT is a style of training where the participant gives it 100% max effort in quick, intense bursts of exercise; followed by short (sometimes active rest periods. This type of training is believed to burn fat faster.
It is believed that HIIT training speeds up your metabolic rate, and leads to a metabolism boost for up to 48 hours after you have completed a HIIT session. This means you’ll be burning fat post workout after you’ve left the gym.
HIIT Training can be completed anywhere, at home, in a hotel room, in a gym. Most HIIT sessions can be less than 30 minutes.
To do a HIIT session you don’t have to use equipment, a HIIT session can be easily accomplished by doing body weight exercises, such as; squats, press-ups, lunges etc.
